Congratulations to the Galveston County Chapter for winning this prestigious award two years in a row! Last year our chapter won the "Chapter of Distinction" ($1500 check) for chapters with 40 members or less, and this year we won the "Honorable Mention" ($500 check). I am so proud to be a member of this awesome chapter. We have a membership of 27 although we only have about 20 who participate regularly, that in itself is a huge percentage participating in IAAP and chapter events. I am also proud to report that of those 27 members we have 6 who have achieved MOE for 2012-2013 (5 who earned their 5 year pins) and we have another 5 who will be submitting their paperwork in May. We have had a lot of ups and downs over the past few years, and we are still recovering from Hurricane Ike in 2008, which only shows the resiliency of our chapter and members as we prepare to celebrate our chapter's 60th anniversary in May 2014. I feel our chapter is well deserving and personifies what the "Great Results" program is all about. Congratulations to Johnson County Chapter and the other chapters who also won.
